Specialized in-home care for dogs who need more

Thank you for trusting us with your pet. Elite Canine Care offers high-trust, specialized in-home care for clients who often struggle to find the right person — dogs with unique needs who deserve more than a standard sit.

We are specialized in blind dogs, dogs that don't get along with others, anxiety and reactive dogs, and seniors with medical needs. We provide in-home sitting only: no boarding, no pack walking, no daycare chaos. We are a private concierge for dogs who require exceptional attention, discretion, and expertise.

We work with a small number of clients at a time, staying in their homes during each booking and following the specific schedules, medications, and habits that keep each dog settled and comfortable. We meet every dog and owner before the first booking to understand routines, quirks, and concerns. We take on only as many clients as we can serve with full attention — for families in Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Ponte Vedra, and the surrounding Jacksonville Beaches area who want the same trusted person every time, this is what thoughtful, professional dog care looks like.

I am a dog empath especially with anxious or blind dogs where energy matters

I started Elite Canine Care because I kept meeting families who couldn't find anyone qualified to care for their dog. Not dogs who needed a walk and some food — dogs who needed medication administered on a precise schedule, or who would unravel without a calm, familiar presence. Dogs whose owners had built years of trust and weren't willing to hand that off to a stranger from an app.

When I stay with your dog, I stay in your home. Same feeding times, same walk routes, same spot on the couch. For anxious dogs, blind dogs, and seniors recovering from surgery, that continuity isn't a detail. It's the entire point.

I work with a small number of families at a time, by design. Availability is limited so that every dog in my care gets my full attention. If that sounds like what you've been looking for, I'd like to meet your dog.

Client reviews

What our clients say

“Lori is absolutely fabulous!! She has done a fabulous job caring for our blind golden retriever and could not recommend her enough!!”

Lexie Townsend·Google review

“Lori cared for our senior Lab after his surgery with the same patience and attentiveness we would have given him ourselves. We came home to a calm, happy dog.”

The Henderson Family·Cooper, 11-year-old Labrador

“Our dog has serious separation anxiety. Lori is the only person he fully accepts. That kind of trust is rare, and we don't take it for granted.”

Maria T.·Milo, Border Collie mix

“We travel often for work. Knowing someone this attentive is with Biscuit changes everything. It's not pet sitting. It's genuine care.”

Common questions

Answers to what clients typically ask before getting in touch.

How do I know I can trust someone I found online to stay in my home with my dog?
We meet every client and dog in person before the first booking. This gives you time to ask questions, walk through your home's security system, and watch how we interact with your dog. We provide local references from other Beaches families and carry liability insurance. You will never be asked to hand over your keys to someone you have not met.
Will you send me updates and pictures while I am away?
Yes. We send photo and text updates daily, or more frequently if you prefer. You will see your dog in familiar spots, on their usual walks, and settled in for the night. If anything seems off, we contact you immediately rather than waiting for a scheduled check-in.
What happens if my dog has a medical emergency while I am gone?
We are familiar with emergency veterinary clinics in the Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach area and will transport your dog immediately if needed. We contact you as soon as possible with details and coordinate directly with the veterinary team. You will provide emergency contact information and your preferred clinic during the initial consultation.
How much time will you actually spend with my dog each day?
For overnight stays, your caregiver lives in your home with your dog day and night for the length of the booking, not just for sleeping hours. Daytime visits are scheduled for the length your dog needs, and we can add visits if your dog requires more attention or company.
What is the longest you would leave my dog alone during an overnight stay?
We structure our day around your dog's needs. For most overnight bookings, we step out only for errands or a short break and are otherwise present in your home. If your dog has separation anxiety or should not be left alone for more than a specific window, we adjust our schedule accordingly.
My dog is crate-trained and anxious. How would you handle crate time?
We follow your existing crate routine exactly. If your dog is crated at night or during certain hours, we maintain that schedule. We do not leave crated dogs unattended for longer than you have specified, and we provide calm, low-key interaction before and after crate time to help your dog stay settled.

Your dog stays home. We stay with them.
